Local Class B Truck Driver - HAZMAT

Job description:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HAZMAT, Class B, Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering propane throughout 16 counties in Northeastern Ohio. This role requires a strong understanding of operating a commercial vehicle, including one with a manual transmission, PTO Pump, and 150-foot propane delivery hose reel. The ideal candidate will ensure safe deliveries while adhering to daily delivery requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Operate commercial vehicles for the delivery of propane.
  
• Navigate routes effectively while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
  
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
  
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven.
  
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
  
• Utilize applicable equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
  

Experience:

• 
  
• Minimum of 1 year proven experience in truck driving, preferably with a focus on HAZMAT, Class B, commercial driving.
  
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is essential.
  
• Previous delivery driver experience, showcasing an understanding of route driving dynamics, is a plus.
