The Plumbing Dispatcher is a dual-role position that combines efficient coordination of service calls with the preparation of accurate quotes and estimates for residential and commercial Plumbing Heating projects. Operating in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of New York City, this role requires strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and technical knowledge of Plumbing systems to provide clients with reliable service and competitive pricing.
Responsibilities: - Schedule and dispatch technicians for service, maintenance, and emergency calls, prioritizing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage technician schedules, optimizing routes to minimize travel time and maximize productivity.
- Communicate job details, updates, and any schedule changes to field technicians promptly.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or online platforms, providing timely and professional support.
- Coordinate with customers to understand their service needs and provide clear ETAs for technician visits.
- Address customer concerns or complaints effectively, ensuring a positive experience.
- Gather necessary information from customers, technicians, or site visits to prepare accurate quotes for Plumbing
- Use estimating tools or software to calculate labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Present estimates to customers, explaining pricing details and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, job statuses, quotes, and invoices using dispatching and CRM software.
- Verify completion of jobs, update records, and process billing in collaboration with the finance team.
- Track and manage inventory or parts required for quoted jobs to ensure timely completion.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts, technician availability issues, and other logistical challenges.
- Assist technicians in troubleshooting field problems or escalate complex issues to supervisors.
- Act as a liaison between customers, technicians, and suppliers to facilitate seamless operations.
- Ensure all quotes, estimates, and dispatch activities comply with company policies and local regulations.
Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in Plumbing dispatching, quoting, or estimating roles.
- Strong knowledge of Plumbing systems, materials, and industry best practices
- Proficiency in dispatching software, estimating tools, and CRM platforms like Service Titan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to analyze job requirements and prepare accurate, competitive estimates.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of NYC geographic areas, building codes, and traffic patterns is an advantage.
