Ten (10) years of overall experience related to network design and administration
At least three (3) years of experience managing technical staff
Experience with the principles, methods, and techniques used in wired and wireless network administration and engineering
Experience managing day to day operations management of the network, including a broad range of LAN/WAN and desktop issues and providing expert knowledge of SNA implementation principles, routing protocol options, and LAN/WAN principles
Experience using:
Switches, routers, bridges, blade servers, firewalls
Windows and Linux Server Administration (multiple operating systems, virtualization software, monitoring tools, IPv4, IPv6)
Other common network and user equipment (e.g., SAN, NAS, Video Bridge)
STIG and SCAP tools
Experience solving network server problems or network infrastructure issues and managing the performance and capacity of a VLAN/LAN/WAN environment
Experience in installation and testing of security patches and cyber security products to meet security compliance
Hands-on experience designing and supporting AWS environment and utilizing AWS administrator portal
Experience in AWS services and technologies such as IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, CloudWatch and CloudTrail, Route 53, RDS, SSM, ElasticSearch and Lambda
Experience supporting Cloud Architects to provide operational network architectures to meet mission system and development environment requirements
Experience anticipating future network requirements, researching and analyzing emerging technologies and applying them to business need
Responsibilities:
Manage technical staff and oversee day to day operations of the network
Support network architectures and cloud migration to meet business requirements
Install and test security patches and cyber security products
Utilize AWS services and technologies to support network infrastructure
Research and apply emerging technologies to meet future network requirements Required Certificates:
Certified Network Engineer OR similar professional network engineering certification.
IAT Level II IAM Level II certifications (Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) OR similar security certification.)
