Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Assists with the Sciences for Health Programs labs, which includes Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Chemistry
Prepares and deconstructs labs, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Ensures and adheres to cleanliness and safety following established regulations and guidelines.
Greets and assists students and staff participating in labs which includes answering and directing phone calls and assisting in-person visitors.
Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement
Perform other duties as assigned
Reports to: Academic Lab Manager, Sciences for Health Programs
QUALIFICATIONSRequired: The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours. Must have successfully completed of one of the following courses: Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, or Chemistry.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: Students with additional laboratory or health sciences coursework.
