Midwest Compressor Systems is looking for motivated, mechanically inclined individuals to join our Field Services team. Whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience, we have a place for you. As a Field Technician, you'll be the boots on the ground-keeping natural gas compression systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position requires travel to sites around Colorado.
What You'll Do
Depending on your level (I, II, or III), you'll:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair natural gas compressors
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Travel to customer sites and build strong relationships
- Install and commission new units (Tech II & III)
- Use diagnostic tools and interpret technical documents
- Keep your field service truck and equipment in top shape
- Submit daily maintenance reports and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards

Requirements:
Who We're Looking For!
Field Tech I
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Field Tech II
- All of the above, plus:
- 1-2 years of experience with natural gas compression equipment
- Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge
Field Tech III
- All of the above, plus:
- 3-5 years of field service experience in compressors
Preferred Skills (Not Required, But a Big Plus!)
- Industry certifications or training in natural gas compression
- Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) training
- Diesel mechanic or HVAC experience
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Work in loud, hot, and outdoor environments
- Stand, walk, climb, and crouch for extended periods
- Must be fit for duty and able to pass drug screening and background checks
Compensation details: 19-32 Hourly Wage
