Salary Range: $24 - $27/hr DOE
What you'll do?
The Quality Technician will be tasked with containment action and verification tasks. In addition, the Quality Technician will be responsible for product/component testing, data collection, daily inspections, first article testing, NCR dispositions, daily scrap inventory adjustments and calibration program maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with Quality & Reliability Director and other departments to resolve production line issues.
- Use troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to define root cause.
- Perform in process inspections of components and finished goods.
- Support the IMS and implement the function to positively impact the IMS processes.
- Assess scrap and perform inventory adjustments in the ERP system.
- Prompt escalation of any hazards and risk to the managers, compliance to work and safety requirements.
- Participate in Quality team meetings.
- Return to Vendor (RTV) process for any defective parts traceable to suppliers.
- Process recycling material for 3rd party pick up.
- Maintain the Calibration Master Plan and perform calibration and tool verification processes.
- Issue Nonconformance Reports (NCR) and active participation in resolving internal and external issues, including customer complaints.
- Perform First Article Inspection for new components or component changes.
- Other duties are required or detailed in Quality procedures.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Minimum one year working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Associates (AA) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Electrical Mechanical is desirable.
- Experience working in an ISO certified facility is desirable.
- Professional certification/s through ASQ such as CQI, CQIA, CQT, CCT, CQA, CQE, CMQ/OE are desirable but not required.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English; Spanish a plus.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; JDE a plus.
- Must be adept at using measuring tools (calipers, scales, rulers, temperature/pressure gauges)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Engineering Drawings, Electrical Line Diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine and professional reports and correspondence.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Work well with others while maintaining a professional environment.
