Job Title: Dietitian Location: Chinle, AZ Shift: 8 9-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Positions - 1 Start Date: 1 to 2 Months Summary: The Contract Dietitian/Nutritionist will deliver inpatient, outpatient, and community-based nutrition care and education services, focusing on the prevention and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. Services will adhere to Indian Health Service (I.H.S.), The Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory standards, while supporting culturally competent care for Native American patients and their families. Key Responsibilities: Assess patients' nutritional needs based on medical history, lab results, and lifestyle. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans. Provide counseling and education on diet, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in nutrition and dietetics. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited institution. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). State licensure (if applicable). Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and community nutrition care, preferably with chronic disease management. Cultural competency in serving Native American populations preferred.
