Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a Service Technician, you will: Conduct bi-annual maintenance on aerobic systems, including inspections, cleaning, and repairs to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and fix aerobic and conventional septic systems, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues and replacing parts as needed. Keep company vehicle tools and supplies in top condition, ensuring readiness for all jobs. Drive to residential and commercial sites using the provided company vehicle. Access wastewater tanks, which may involve hand digging or operating specialized equipment. Log detailed, accurate notes on work orders to document services and issues. Job Qualifications To be a successful Service Technician, you should have: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or septic system certification is a bonus. Physically capable of demanding tasks like lifting heavy equipment, digging, and working outdoors. Able to use and read a voltmeter for electrical diagnostics. Confident communicator, able to explain technical details to homeowners clearly. Available for occasional evening/weekend work and on-call shifts. Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and provide a current driving record (MVR). Working Conditions Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime (nights/weekends) and on-call shifts as needed. Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather (rain, heat, humidity), and loud noise levels. Punctuality and regular attendance are critical for customer satisfaction.
