Job Description Summary: This position directs and manages Plant Maintenance activities to support the manufacturing and packing operations initiatives, inclusive of engineering, capital improvement and R&D implementation projects as assigned. The pay range for this position in California, at commencement of employment is expected to be between $145K and $165K annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. .Job Description: Position Responsibilities Directs and oversees the maintenance of allmanufacturingand packaging equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness, a high standard of upkeep and compliance with all safety,quality,and budgetary requirements. Establishes,agrees,and delivers against MaintenanceFunctional KPIs.Guaranteesexcellence in equipment availability. Leads and develops plant maintenance personnel ensuringthey havethe skills to support current and futureoperationalneeds across mechanical,electrical,andcontrol disciplines. Manages,organizes,and coordinates the activities of the plant maintenance staff including training and development,workperformance,planning,and prioritizing. Ensures technologicalawareness andtimelyacquisition oftheseskills by the team. Manages and developsthePlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) process and ensures that PPM systems (MP2) aremaintainedand developed to support delivery of excellent equipment availability. Establishes metrics to track PPM effectiveness and uses data to ensure highdecision quality. Establishes effective collaboration and teamwork between Maintenance,Manufacturing, Packing, FSQA, Engineering, Facilities and R&Dteams. Applies business context todetermineand implementappropriate maintenancetactics:preventiveandpredictivethroughinspection andcorrectivemeasures to minimizebreak-down maintenance. Manages thetimelyand cost-effective procurement of spare parts, maintenanceservices,and supplies to support equipment availability. Procures,designs,and improves equipment and facilitiesin accordance withproduction, packing andfoodsafety standards. Ensures proper guarding ismaintainedon all equipment. Supports R&D projects and installations with Plant Managementand Engineering. Oversees and negotiates contracts with equipment vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Ensures plant compliance with all governmental regulations and agencies such as OSHA, EPA, FDA, and local building,health,and otherregulatory agencies. Supports implementation of Continuous Improvement programs, new methods,procedures,and systems to improve safety, operational efficiency,quality,and food safety. Leads TPM implementation/initiativesin the Maintenance department. Manages maintenance activities tocomply withall applicable safety, food safety and environmental laws and regulations, as well as Company safety policies, food safety and quality procedures and standards. Assistsin the company emergency preparedness program. Establishes principles for change andmaintainschange momentum through employee communication,engagement,and development.Measures,correctsandsustains change results. Performs special projects as assigned by management. Responsible for identifying opportunitiesfor the use ofenhancedtechnology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness. Responsible for execution and adherence to pre-requisite programs as well asthe Company'sfoodsafety anddefense program. Minimum Qualifications: Five to fifteen years' experience in food plant maintenance. Strong people management and motivational skills. Excellent communication and technical skills are essential. Customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, understanding and actively using the concept of internal customer. Strong problem-solving skills. Proven project management skills. Proficiencyin the use of CMMS. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field. Equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu ofdegree.
