The college has served students in the Lewis County region since 1925 and is the oldest continuously operating community college in Washington State. Job Description

Centralia College is currently seeking applicants for a part-time, adjunct instructor to teach in-person or hybrid sections of General Biology and Nutrition courses.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Teach lectures and lab courses in hybrid or in-person modalities, including creation and grading of course materials.

2. Align course curriculum with program learning outcomes.

3. Participate in course-level assessment of student learning.

4. Place student success at the center of their courses.

5. Engage with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to create a community of learners.

6. Respect the richness of diverse cultural values, beliefs and practices of others.

Qualifications

1. Washington state resident

2. Master's degree from an accredited institution in the discipline, or related discipline, required

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous college-level teaching experience

2. Previous curriculum development experience

3. Familiarity with Learning Management System (Canvas)
