Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the accounting department and implement best practices. Required skills: Excellent written/verbal communication skills and have a professional appearance and manner Ensure the accounting team deadlines are met with minimal errors and no errors that result in a loss to the credit union. Inform management of operating issues affecting the accounting team Mentor and coach accounting team to meet daily accounting demands Education and Experience: A two-year college degree in accounting, finance or related field required. A bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Minimum of two years' experience in credit union accounting, 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
