Job Posting Open Until Filled Salary Range: $107,271.88 - $143,207.97 Hiring Department: Law General Description and Classification Standards The Senior Attorney IV role will handle a variety of real estate transactions and related matters, including drafting and reviewing legislation and complex real estate documents as well as providing advice and counsel to various departments and boards as assigned. Experience with real estate development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements and real estate closings is required. The Senior Attorney IV will have extensive contact with City Council, multiple city departments, and the governing bodies of several other municipalities. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills, experience working with paralegals and administrative staff, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Applicants should also demonstrate superior organizational, client management, writing, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: Juris Doctorate degree required from an accredited law school. At least ten (10) years of experience as a practicing attorney.Must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or have the ability to obtain membership within one (1) year of employment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in municipal, county, and/or constitutional law. Familiarity with affordable housing-related real estate transactions is a plus.
