Job Description
Shift
- One week per month
- Three to four days of 24-hour call coverage
- One outpatient clinic day mid-week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Followed by three to four days of 24-hour call coverage
Description
- Position includes inpatient and outpatient practice setting
- Operating room access is available for cases as needed
- Support staff includes registered nurses, medical assistants, a physician assistant or nurse practitioner, and additional office staff
- Electronic medical record system is Epic
- Call type is beeper with a 20-minute response time
- Phone consults are required
- Long-term ongoing assignment with consistent monthly need
Experience
- Comfortable managing 20 to 25 patients per day
- Prior inpatient and outpatient urology experience required
License
- Active Washington license or IMLC
Certifications
- Board Certified in Urology
- BLS
Must-Have
- Ability to supervise advanced practice providers
- Strong skills in general adult urology
- Competency with endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures
- Experience with ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, cystectomy, and pelvic node dissection
- Ability to perform ESWL, TRUS biopsies, and incontinence procedures
- Robotic surgery experience preferred
