The Community Environmental Management Consultant provides onsite technical assistance and training to rural community environmental management systems with water or waste disposal problems and needs in the areas of project planning, financing, utility management and administration. Communities Unlimited is one of six regional non-profit organizations that are partners in the national Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) through which these services are available in all U.S.A. and territories. This role is hiring in East Tennessee only.

Education/Certification Requirements
Option A: Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, social sciences, management, public administration or related field preferred and 1 year experience.
OR
Option B - Current Water or Wastewater Operator Certification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in operating and/or managing community environmental management systems.
Must maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, acceptable driving record, reliable personal vehicle and at least the state minimum personal liability auto insurance coverage.
Must be authorized to work in the USA and must reside or be within a commutable distance to the East Tennesse/Knoxville area.
