Position Description: The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes, and providing exceptional service to clients or internal stakeholders.
Essential Duties, Roles & Responsibilities - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, panels, and lighting fixtures.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, and other components.
- Diagnose electrical issues using test equipment and visual inspections.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, or equipment as needed.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Follow safety procedures and practices to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Identify and resolve any potential hazards or issues in electrical systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, understanding their needs, and offering professional advice and solutions.
- Address any customer concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Prepare and submit reports on electrical system conditions and any necessary repairs or replacements.
- Work closely with other trades and contractors to coordinate electrical work with other construction or renovation activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications, Education & Training - Minimum of years of experience as an electrician, with a proven track record of successful installations and repairs.
- Experience in residential/commercial/industrial electrical work is a plus.
- Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
Skills & Abilities - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and test equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
