Job Description:

Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team in our Assisted Living Community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a commitment to providing high-quality dining experiences for our residents.


Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Executive Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines

- Ensure food quality and presentation meet the highest standards

- Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training new team members

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations

- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus and special event offerings

- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a culinary environment

- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

- Passion for creating nutritious and delicious meals for residents

- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
