Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a Service Technician, you will: • Conduct bi-annual maintenance on aerobic systems, including inspections, cleaning, and repairs to ensure optimal performance. • Diagnose and fix aerobic and conventional septic systems, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues and replacing parts as needed. • Keep company vehicle tools and supplies in top condition, ensuring readiness for all jobs. • Drive to residential and commercial sites using the provided company vehicle. • Access wastewater tanks, which may involve hand digging or operating specialized equipment. • Log detailed, accurate notes on work orders to document services and issues. Job Qualifications To be a successful Service Technician, you should have: • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or septic system certification is a bonus. • Physically capable of demanding tasks like lifting heavy equipment, digging, and working outdoors. • Able to use and read a voltmeter for electrical diagnostics. • Confident communicator, able to explain technical details to homeowners clearly. • Available for occasional evening/weekend work and on-call shifts. • Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and provide a current driving record (MVR). Working Conditions • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime (nights/weekends) and on-call shifts as needed. • Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather (rain, heat, humidity), and loud noise levels. • Punctuality and regular attendance are critical for customer satisfaction.
