Description: Position: Litigation Attorney - Litigation Defense - Foreclosures/Residential Real Estate, Mortgages Location: Remote - Las Vegas, Nevada (Must be licensed in NV) On Call Counsel is partnering with a national law firm to find an Associate Attorney for its Las Vegas office. This role focuses on litigated matters involving residential real estate, title issues, foreclosure, and mortgage servicing disputes. The firm is seeking a skilled litigator with 2-8 years of relevant experience and a strong command of civil litigation procedures. Key Responsibilities: Independently manage contested litigation files involving mortgage servicing, foreclosure, and real estate title disputes. Oversee pre-litigation matters and assist in resolving title-related issues. Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, and manage discovery. Take and defend depositions; prepare for hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences. Represent clients in court proceedings throughout Nevada-travel required as needed. Analyze legal matters and develop case strategies aligned with client goals. Support additional assignments and special projects as needed. Requirements: J.D. from an accredited law school. Active and in-good-standing membership with the Nevada State Bar. 2-8 years of litigation experience, preferably in real estate or mortgage servicing. Familiarity with foreclosure laws and consumer protection statutes (e.g., FDCPA) is a plus. Strong courtroom presence and knowledge of evidentiary rules. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
