Typical Work Schedule

Part-time position with the option to transition to full-time. Standard hours fall within the day shift, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

We are currently seeking an individual to join our hard-working, dedicated team as a Prefabrication Technician - Electrical Construction Part-Time (with option to Full Time):

Under the direct supervision of the Prefabrication Shop Foreman, the Prefabrication Technician (Part-Time/Full-Time Option) will assist with mechanical and electrical prefabrication tasks to support field operations. This role is designed for mechanically and electrically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work, building templates, skids, problem-solving, and working in a team environment. The Technician will contribute to producing high-quality prefabricated assemblies in a safe, efficient, and organized manner while learning industry best practices. While this position begins as part-time, there is an opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and departmental needs.



Duties and Responsibilities Essential to the Job - including the following and any other duties that may be assigned as needed:

Assist Foreman and team members with electrical and mechanical prefab assembly tasks.

Read and interpret basic drawings, diagrams, and written instructions for assembly work.

Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and shop machinery safely and effectively.

Perform tasks such as measuring, cutting, threading, welding, and bending conduit without supervision.

Assemble brackets, supports, and other mechanical components for prefab builds.

Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming work orders.

Perform basic wiring terminations or assembly of electrical components as directed.

Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Communicate clearly with the Prefab Foreman regarding task progress and any issues.

Participate in daily shop safety meetings and job safety analysis as required.


III. Reporting Relationships

Reports to Prefabrication Shop Foreman

Works with: Prefabrication Manager, Prefabrication Foreman, and Field Teams


IV. Educational/Work Experience/Certifications

Completion of vocational/technical program in electrical or mechanical trades preferred.

Four or more years of prior hands-on experience in electrical construction or fabrication.

Welding experience preferred.

OSHA 10 certification preferred.


V. Skills/Abilities

Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication equipment.

Intermediate or better knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems.

Welding skills required (MIG, stick, or TIG welding experience).

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Willingness to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep work areas neat and efficient.

Effective verbal communication and a proactive attitude.


VI. Working Conditions

Work performed in an active prefabrication shop environment.

Must be comfortable working safely at all times in a team setting.

Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Tasks may include cutting, grinding, drilling, threading conduit, welding, and working with hand/power tools.

May require standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.


VII. Special Requirements

Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Background checks, screenings, and physicals.

Ability to work flexible part-time hours with the potential to expand into a full-time schedule based on company needs.
