Qualifications:

T he Group Home Manager is responsible for the daily operations of South Street Group Home, the supervision of the group home staff, the case management of residents, and adherence to regulations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
STAFF DEVELOPMENT:

Provides direct supervision to residential staff; coordinates scheduling of time according to the needs of the program; participates in and co-leads staff meetings; advocates for the staff; conducts performance evaluations; participates in selection of new staff and hiring process; provides orientation to newly hired staff; ensures completion of orientation checklist.

CLIENT SERVICES:

Provides case management to residents of the group home, establishes service goals; assists clients in obtaining benefits; provides direction of ADLs for clients; assists in following treatment plans; provides basis for money management skills; acts as direct line for clients to case manager, therapists, and medical director by attending disposition meeting as needed and Treatment Team meetings; communicates with other service providers both in and out of the agency.

HEALTH RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures coordination of medical appointments for residents and to clients residing in the community; ensures medical needs of the residents are met. Maintains medication administration certification. Supports clients in taking their prescribed medication. Facilitates good relationships between CRT and community physicians.

RECORD KEEPING:

Responsible for accurate record keeping in conjunction with client bills for the residential program; monitors paperwork of staff; is responsible for documentation required for clinical records; and keeps activity log of all clients admitted to the residential program.

AGENCY PARTICIPATION:

Attends AMH/CRT managers' meetings; works with division director and medical director in providing services to clients in crisis. Consults with Community Support Services Manager and Division Director about residential needs of CRT clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Relevant experience in the mental health field is required. Experience in a residential setting is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other Human Services field is preferred. LPN with appropriate experience would be considered. Supervisory experience preferred.
