Your Role: We are currently looking for a Laser Operator to join us at our Lindsay NE location . This position will run fabricating machines such as cut off saws, shears, brakes, presses, forming machines, drills, angle processing, grinders, CNC lasers and plasma cutting machines that punch, cut, shape and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes and structures. Must be able to maintain a high level of quality by meeting or exceeding production requirements, observe machine operation to detect workpiece defect or machine malfunction. Job Requirements Sets up and operates fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses Responsible for accurately measuring and precisely cutting materials involved in the assigned work Operates CNC machines to meet parts per hour requirements Work at different work stations as production needs require Must be able to do simple setups, change punches and die sets, bits and saw blades Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders, to determine material requirements and assembly instructions. Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments. Ability to work with other team members to accomplish the job Must follow all safety rules and regulations, including the reporting of any hazards, violations, or injuries. Must operate safety equipment/devices and help provide a safe working environment by maintaining good housekeeping practices Ability to maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment by cleaning, lubricating and adjusting parts. Employee may be required to perform any other job related duties as requested to their supervisor. Other Position Qualifications Knowledge of metal cutting and punching processes and equipment. Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments. Math skills including good understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplication and division. Ability to read tape measure, calipers and ability to read blue prints drawings. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Trained in forklift operation a plus or willing to be trained in this area Trained in Overhead Crane Operation or willing to be trained in this area Must be able and willing to program all CNC Equipment. Must be able to communicate with supporting resources such as Software support and Equipment Technicians.
