Position Summary: The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems and equipment within the facility. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and minor construction tasks to maintain the facility's infrastructure in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical equipment. Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Assist with coordination, installation, modification, and repair of facility infrastructure and equipment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed for specialized repairs or services. Support emergency maintenance and facility shutdowns as required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas. Assist in training junior maintenance staff or new hires when applicable. Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in facility maintenance or a similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with staff, vendors, and management.
