The Dartmouth Health Manchester-Bedford Obstetrics, Gynecology & Nurse Midwifery team is seeking a BC/BE OB/GYN Generalist to join a busy practice with seven board certified/eligible OB/GYN physicians, eight certified nurse midwives, two APRNs and one PA with a supportive administration group. The physician will see patients 1-2 days per week in the clinic and complete 12hr OB inpatient shifts with 1:8 call. We have a nocturnist model supported by two physicians. Leadership opportunities are available for interested candidates, and this position comes with an academic appointment at Dartmouth College's Geisel School of Medicine. Our group covers one busy community hospital providing comprehensive obstetrics, gynecology & nurse midwifery services with a 24/7 CNM Hospitalist service for patients in the Bedford/Manchester region of New Hampshire performing 800 deliveries per year with an integrated midwifery service. The model of care at our Women s Health Center is to provide care with physicians, CNM s, APRN s, PA s, Genetic Counselors, and Dartmouth Health subspecialists in one office offering comprehensive obstetrics, gynecology, and midwifery care with on-site imaging and access to OBGYN subspecialists. Capable of performing all of the duties/responsibilities of a Histotechnician I and II. Ensure proper accessioning and labeling of all tissue samples. Process paperwork associated with accessioning and reporting. Ensure proper tissue processing. Embed processed tissue in paraffin. Perform microtomy of embedded tissue. Prepare slides for routine Hematoxylin and Eosin staining. Perform cover slipping of stained slides either manually or automated. Prepare solutions and reagents for special stain procedures. Obtain and validate tissue used in special stains. Perform all special stain procedures. May prepare solutions and reagents for IHC procedures. May obtain and validate control material used in IHC procedures. May perform IHC testing. Perform filing of finished blocks and slides. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and troubleshoot minor equipment failures. Document remedial actions such as repairs or repeated tests. Provide training and guidance to Histotechnicians, students and lab aides. Adhere to laboratory's quality control policies and document all quality control activities. This position will help with staffing volumes during the week and assist with coverage on Saturdays (8:00am - 12:00pm). Here's what you'll do: Performs quality MR exams, to acquire appropriate images and accurate diagnostic information for interpretation by a supervising radiologist. Ability to analyze and position the patient to image the required anatomy for optimal results. Responsible for starting IV's on patients requiring contrast. Utilize special techniques as required to enhance visualization of the anatomy. Prior to beginning the examination, assess the ability of the patient to comply with the physical requirements of the examination and explain the examination to the patient.
