The Maintenance Technician III provides complex technical repairs and preventive maintenance on Bakery equipment including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computerized systems to minimize downtime. This role troubleshoots issues, performs repairs, installs new parts, executes equipment overhauls, tests repaired equipment, and maintains records in the computerized maintenance system. Responsibilities: Provides technical repairs to complex electronic, mechanical, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Troubleshoots, repairs, fabricates, and/or installs electronic systems, complex gauges, instrumentation repairs, and new parts including mechanical and electronic interfaces Troubleshoots, repairs, adjusts, installs, and programs electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation used to control and measure equipment performance, access to buildings, building automation systems, fire protection systems, material handling systems (elevators, etc.), and energy measurement systems. Assists production workers in diagnosing malfunctions in systems and equipment. Executes major equipment overhauls. Tests equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime. Maintains production equipment while operating on a defined production schedule. Operates general machinery and tools including saws, drills, power tools, scissor lifts, forklifts, etc. Interacts with and maintains records in accordance with Maintenance Management System requirements and job assignments and communicates via email, all with the use of computer systems Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance, GMPs, safety, and other company programs and procedures, and in compliance with government code and regulations. Maintains clean, organized, and safe work area, including wiping and washing equipment and tools, sweeping and mopping floors, and trash removal. Confers with and coordinates activities with Bakery personnel and other departments to minimize disruptions to production and maintenance schedules. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications: High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation, measurement, and control systems, electronics, mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial and manufacturing machinery or 6 years of experience in instrumentation, measurement, and control systems, electronics, mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial and manufacturing machinery. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred. 4 or more years experience in industrial maintenance environment troubleshooting PLC software, I/O, and field devices and working with mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems preferred Experience in three of the following skills: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and food manufacturing process controls. Knowledge of equipment set-up, functionality, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques. Able to handle multiple tasks with the capability of prioritizing and planning work activities. Must have the ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems design documentation and vendor-supplied documents including Process & Instrument Drawings (PID), electrical single line drawings, instrument loop drawings, electrical cable, routing and termination, mechanical diagrams and machine layout drawings. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must also adapt to frequent changes that occur on the production line. New Employees hired will be awarded a $350 bonus upon completing 30 days of employment with perfect attendance Signing Bonus - Tortilla Plant - Production, Mixer Operator, Press Operator, Quality Assurance (QA) Location: Mi Mama's Tortillas-Downtown Omaha (south) Days: Monday-Friday and some Saturdays 12-Hours shifts:1st Shift: (3:00am-3:00pm and 3:30am to 3:30pm) 2nd Shift: (3:00pm to 3:00am and 3:30pm-3:30am) 8-Hours shifts: 1st shift: (5:30am to 1:30pm) 2nd shift: (1:30pm to 9:30pm) 3rd shift (9:30pm to 5:30am) Pay Rate: $12 to $15/Hour to start depending on the position. Pay increases, and Bonuses upon hired by Mi Mamas Tortillas Production: $12 - $12.50/hr to start Boxes & Palletizing - Able to learn the pallet pattern of the product being palletized and keep boxes made with the speed of the line. Should be able to keep up by the end of the shift. Packing Cases - Able to pack the correct number of packages of tortillas into the proper case and push through the tape machine. This position will rotate with boxing/palletizing while training. Sealing Packages - Able to work at the bag sealer. This involves moving the open packages through the bag sealer. This can be somewhat fast paced. Sorting - Able to sort out unacceptable tortillas prior to the tortillas going into the stacker. Packing Bags - This will be the last position that you will learn. This position takes some coordination. It is hand packing tortillas into the bags. All positions in Production are rotated. Every employee will work in all of the production positions and should be rotated into each of the different positions during production. Mixer Operators: (3:00 to 3:00) $14/hr Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently Ability to multitask Basic understanding and ability to use iPad tablet Basic math skills Ability to work in hot environment (oven area is generally 20+ degrees warmer than packing area) Good work ethic Team player Mixer is responsible for setting up batches, strictly adhering to proper mixing procedure, covering the break of the mixer on the next line over, keeping area clean and organized, properly recording lot information for all ingredients used throughout shift, working closely with press operator in order to make adjustments to the dough. Press Operators: (3:00 to 3:00) $15/hr Must be able to read, write and speak English. Able to read a ruler and a thermometer - need to be able to know the size and temperatures of tortillas Make adjustments to ovens, presses, divider, and proofer as needed in order to maintain the quality & customer specifications. Document temperatures, sizes, press settings, etc. Quality Assurance Technicians (QA): $13.50/hr In this function you will inspect manufactured products to ensure compliance and conformance to Quality standards. The person for this position will ensure product and processes are compliant with applicable standards, regulations and customer specifications. Perform regular checks on in-process and finished products by established test methods Evaluate compliance in regards to regulatory and customer specification for product weight Perform quality testing using laboratory measuring equipment - aW, pH and moisture Calibration of equipment Documentation and communication of inspection results Monitor metal detector to ensure operating correctly Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Environmental Conditions: This is a food manufacturing environment - temperature extremes, flour dust and noise. This job is 12 hour days. Once trained, you will have one day off during the week and weekends off. We will, on occasion, work a Saturday. It all depends on orders. The hours are: 1 st Shift: Monday - 4:30 am to 3:30 pm. Tuesday through Friday - 3:15 am to 3:30 pm. 2 nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm to 3:30 am. Friday is usually a Sanitation day. This will require inspecting and testing equipment for cleanliness. Cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, etc. Calibrating thermometers and going through retain products. Required Education: High School/GED. Be able to use a ruler and a calculator Experience: Would prefer someone with experience working in food manufacturing. Must speak English.
