Troubleshooting & Diagnostic Skills: Ability to identify and resolve faults in EW and RF test systems, including hardware-in-the-loop setups. Hands-On Hardware Experience: Skilled in configuring test benches, installing/upgrading components, and building custom wiring harnesses. Technical Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with engineers and military personnel to support lab operations and field upgrades. Avionics Background (Preferred): Prior military experience as an avionics technician, especially with USM-670A or USM-713 test sets. Key Responsibilities
Support the sustainment and troubleshooting of EW and RF test systems, including hardware-in-the-loop test benches.
Assist with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for test sets such as the USM-670A and USM-713, including hardware upgrades and installations.
Configure and maintain test benches for integration testing of systems like RWRs, jammers, and communication/navigation equipment.
Build and maintain custom wiring harnesses and interface boxes based on engineering drawings.
Collaborate with engineers and military personnel to diagnose and resolve system faults.
Participate in field upgrade efforts, including potential travel to military installations (e.g., Miramar, Pendleton, Whidbey Island, WA).
Redline technical diagrams and support documentation updates.
Operate in a lab environment that includes a full-scale aircraft mockup and non-climate-controlled hangar space. Clearance Requirement
