Description: Work on a team that provides communication products and perform communications activities in support of a senior leadership front office. Duties/Responsibilities Provide communication products and perform communications activities to include, but not limited to, digital communication products, bios, informational articles,human-interest stories, and formal leadership messages in written or other multimedia formats. As appropriate, include photos and coordinate internal video and audio recordings and photography services for content to be included in publications. Develop strategic communication and public relations plans, identifying the most effective channels and tools to engage audiences and maximize reach. Communications should be forward leaning to meet an evolving and multigenerational workforce. Implement evaluation tools, such as surveys, to assess the effectiveness and impact of communication. Monitor and summarize communications activities, including digital communications. Collate and draft news and information to share via the office's internal and external websites as well as other office's websites such as those managed by the Directorate-level Communications Team and the Office of Public Affairs. Draft articles to communicate front office initiatives to the entire sponsor population. Draft messages and multimedia presentations from senior leadership to the office's entire workforce. In support of retirement ceremonies, draft retirement congratulations messages for Leadership to send to retirees and executive level talking points for use at retirement and Honor & Merit Award ceremonies.identified by the Sponsor to ensure timeliness and success for the events. This position has no supervisory responsibilities Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Requires an active TS/SCI security clearance w/ Poly Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Media Relations, related fields or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in corporate communications Experience writing press releases, reports, articles, etc.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong grammar, writing, and editing skills. Ability to organize, write, and edit documents to appeal to specific and varied audiences Strong critical thinking skills and ability to think strategically Highly creative and innovative in identifying modes of communications and means of creating visually engaging, impactful communications content Experience using SharePoint and Joomla. Experience with audio and video recording, such as podcasts, livestream and recorded events, and accessibility (for example, adding closed captioning to finalized videos). Experience interacting with customers at all levels and in different offices throughout the organization. Working knowledge of web-publishing techniques. Excellent organizational skills and superb attention to detail. Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, excellent judgment, personal integrity, and absolute discretion. Ability to work independently and effectively with personnel at all levels in a team environment. Ability to develop plans and solutions to resolve problems and issues. Ability to effectively plan workload, meet established deliverables, and manage competing priorities. Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multitasking environment and change focus quickly, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Physical Requirements Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) at the customer site while sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to be in the office during core hours of 9am-3pm Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region
