Stericycle is seeking a Maintenance Technician at their brand new Incinerator Facility in McCarran, NV Stay-On Bonus: $3000.00 $500 paid after 60 days $750 paid after 6 months $1750 paid after 12 months Compensation: The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S is $27.64+ based on experience, + Night Shift Differential. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. Position Purpose: Under direction, perform all maintenance functions, including but not limited to preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on all equipment throughout the plant. Key Job Activities: • Performs diagnostic evaluation on equipment and make repairs when needed. • Ensures that repairs are performed properly in the shortest amount of time possible to maintain the highest level of operational readiness. • Performs preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on a daily basis on a variety of machinery within the plant. This machinery includes: • fire tube boiler and ancillary equipment, steam delivery systems, water softeners and other water treatment equipment, air handling equipment, commercial washers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems. • incinerator process equipment/systems maintenance, including burners, CEMs , high temperature refractory, controls, PLC, combustion air blowers, pressure controls and conveyance systems. • steam turbine and electrical generator systems. • air pollution control devices, to include bag houses, evaporative coolers, acid absorbers, and carbon beds. • general air pneumatics, including air compressor, regulators, solenoid valves, 2-way and 3-way valve, tubing installation, pneumatic pumps and related systems. • Performs light electrical maintenance on all plant equipment to include 480V/240V/120V/24V powers systems. • PLC and light robotics troubleshooting and maintenance experience helpful. • Performs any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy and efficient facility and vigorously support Stericycle's commitment to Safety. • Documents results through completed work orders based on schedule and priority or as required. • Performs other related duties as required or requested. Education: Experience: • Education equivalent to Associates Degree from two-year college or technical school, or the equivalent in related work experience. • Three or more years related experience and/or training, demonstrating the ability to identify and perform repairs that are needed and to assure scheduled production run. • Must have experience with the use of forklifts, man-lifts, and various rigging equipment in the performance of maintenance activities. • Possession of boiler, welding, or electrical certification or license is helpful. • Must have experience with the performance of lockout/tag out and permit confined space programs related to maintenance activities. • Must have experience with general air pneumatics, including air compressor operation and maintenance, regulator replacement, solenoid valve replacement, 2-way and 3-way valve, tubing installation, pneumatic pumps and general system troubleshooting. • Demonstrates the ability to use all power tools associated with metal machining to include: power drills, chop saws, reciprocating saw, grinder and pneumatic hammers. • Must be able to use soldering/brazing torches, and acetylene torches for cutting steel. • Must be able to use a welder to fuse carbon steel and perform repairs. • Knowledge of how to maintain a hydraulic system and the ability to read hydraulic flow diagrams is preferred. • The ability to weld stainless steel or higher alloys and to operate a TIG welder is a plus. Job Description About the Role: The Manufacturing Technician III, reports to a Manufacturing Supervisor. In this role, you will execute all processes in production while strictly following cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply. You will participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable. Under the general direction of the lead technician and the direction of the supervisor, you will oversee the hands-on execution of all activities in the production area. In addition to making routine revisions to documents, you may rewrite complex procedures or initiate new procedures as applicable. You will have enough applied technical knowledge to perform complex trouble shooting tasks and may even assist during the transfer of new technologies into manufacturing. You will have technical and administrative competence to organize and lead production activities, including demonstrating leadership in state-of-the-art cGMP compliance, and environmental health and safety skills. How you will Contribute: Manage personal training plan to enhance knowledge, skills, and capabilities Troubleshoot process & equipment problems in a timely manner to minimize Manufacturing downtime Conduct safety Gemba's and provide coaching daily to ensure technicians are adhering to proper ergonomic techniques Support all local manufacturing operations. Operate general production equipment (such as Filling, Inspection, & Packaging equipment) Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines. Manually clean all portable equipment and small parts. Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams. Receive and distribute supplies into the production area. Ensure all components necessary for Manufacturing are prepped and ready to meet schedule adherence in addition to setting up next shift for success Assemble and operate manufacturing equipment Coordinate other groups such as maintenance/metrology to ensure preventative maintenance is done. Demonstrate proficiency in electronic systems such as (EBM, JDE, etc.)' What you bring to Takeda: High school diploma or GED. 4+ years of related work experience or AA degree or higher and 2+ years related work experience. Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow detailed written and oral instructions in English. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment. Have a good understanding of cGMP regulations. Familiarity with pharmaceutical production equipment including autoclave, DP oven and CIP/SIP. Proficient in different mathematical disciplines and be able to work with both the metric and USA standards of measurement. Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures. In this role, you may: Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. Work in a cold, wet environment. Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary. Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection. Must be able to work on multiple shifts, including weekends, to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation as needed. Must be able to work non-traditional work hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Must be able to work a 12-hour shift (5:00am - 5:30pm or 5:00pm - 5:30am), in a 2-2-3 rotation. Requires flexibility to work during off shift hours and/or conduct activities in support of different shifts as needed. Must be able to work overtime as required.
