BHE GT&S JOB DESCRIPTION BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Gas Measurement Technician or Senior Gas Measurement Technician at our Edgemoor Compressor Station in Edgemoor, SC or at Moore Compressor Station in Moore, SC. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs all duties related to natural gas measurement and regulation. Installs, operates, maintains, calibrates, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs gas measurement and regulation equipment. Installs, tests, and maintains electrical equipment (Electronic Flow Measurement, Remote Telemetry Units, AC/DC circuits etc.). Obtains, readings, analyses, and notifications of problems concerning data on cathodic protection. Ensures proper operation of system, within state and federal compliance guidelines. Prepares and maintains records and reports. Actively participates in special projects, including construction growth and longevity. Performs other duties as requested or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Gas Measurement Technician: At least three years' instrumentation and controls experience. Ability to operate and troubleshoot various electronic and pneumatic devices, such as flow controlling and regulating equipment, orifice and pressure gauges, and transducers. Ability to monitor pipeline pressures. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures. Knowledge of regulatory requirements. Ability to operate various equipment and tools. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office and data management systems. Ability to identify problems, collect and analyze data, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to establish and maintain rapport and communicate effectively. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Sr Gas Measurement Technician: In addition to the qualifications required for Gas Measurement Technician, the Sr Gas Measurement Technician must also satisfy the following requirements: At least 5 years' instrumentation and controls knowledge and experience. Regional Service Representative Status: Exempt (salaried) Department: Field Service Position Summary The Regional Service Representative plays a critical role for the organization. This position is responsible to support the technical needs of customer sites in the field through the installation and after-market support of GenDrive fuel cell units and GenFuel hydrogen utility infrastructure. As such, travel is a large component of this position (up to 100%) to serve various customer sites across the United States. The role requires highly adept technical and troubleshooting skills both with electro-mechanical and industrial gas systems. The Regional Service Rep is instrumental in role modeling high standards of customer service and technical excellence. The RSR is also called upon to help train and develop more junior team members such as Field Service Technicians assigned to specific customer sites. The RSR assists the Field Service managerial team with performance measurement of team members including recognition and disciplinary matters as required. The RSR also provides a critical interface to Plug Power customer stakeholders and is looked upon to be an ambassador for Plug Power in the field. This role is vital to supporting the strong reputation for the reliability of Plug Power technology as well as furthering the Company's reputation as a dedicated service partner to customers. Core Duties and Responsibilities * Performing detailed surveys of customer sites and lift truck fleets. * Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites. * Perform remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to provide direction to customer service support personnel. * Perform specialized service procedures including field retrofits, software and hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells. * Providing emergency support service to customers as required. * Training and supervising other personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance and service of fuel cells. * Provide customer training on the use of fuel cells in lift trucks. * Purchase tools, equipment and parts for customer service and support as required. * Troubleshooting and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen storage, delivery and fueling systems. * Perform special assignments including laboratory testing, field readiness demonstration testing, and marketing trade show support. * Maintaining ongoing communication with customer personnel regarding aftermarket support of fuel cells and hydrogen infrastructure. * Provide regular feedback to company management regarding fuel cell performance and field maintenance issues. * Complete administrative duties & documentation including expense reports, mileage logs, site and system documentation. * Exhibit and enforce safety procedures in the field and at customer sites. * Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions. * Perform all other duties as assigned. JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Requires experience in metrology principles of all measurement disciplines in a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL). This position will be responsible for calibration and service of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) in the Electrical/Electronic communications/Microwave and Physical/Dimensional metrology disciplines using 33K series technical order and commercial data. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Calibrate and maintain electronic, electro-mechanical, physical, dimensional TMDE • Operate and maintain automated and manual calibration stations • Perform tasks such as interpreting waveform analysis, interpreting schematic drawings, diagnosing malfunctions and effect to restore TMDE to required operating condition • Make measurements using common TMDE such as, Oscilloscopes, Frequency Counters, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Torque Calibrators, Microwave Measuring Receivers, and Pressure measurement devices • Ensure work complies with applicable directive of Air Force TO 00-20-14 • Perform duties as assigned by supervisor OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the employee's job. WORKING CONDITIONS Duties are performed indoors in a laboratory environment. Government vehicle is used on an as-needed basis. DESIRED EXPERIENCE • Experience in a USAF or other military PMEL/calibration laboratory • Knowledge of the USAF Metrology and Calibration Program to include the PMEL Quality Program • Graduation from the USAF PMEL School or other military training school REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory or a military equivalent is required. ISCET certification may be required. Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics and demonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems along with test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment is necessary. Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power RF devices may be required. At least 7 years of hands-on experience is required. Successful candidates will have expert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilities. DESRIED REQUIREMENTS At least three years PMEL or calibration experience to include calibrating, aligning, troubleshooting, and repairing TMDE and, metrology working standards (7 years for Elect. Tech. III). Working knowledge of electronics, electrical, electro-mechanical, physics, thermal principles, and mathematics required to operate in a PMEL. Effective time-management skills required to establish priorities and handle multiple workloads. Basic writing and communication skills and positive team interaction is a must. Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all relationships and work performed. Must have working knowledge of computer systems and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
