Prepares and provides reports to all necessary parties (e.g., the principal investigator, sponsoring agency, etc.) on the progress of the study as needed. Acts as a study site monitor for other sites working on studies within the research network. Work closely with the Director of Critical Care and Resuscitation Research, Office of Science and Research (OSR), research staff, grants managers and others to prioritize and produce grant proposals, reports, and other documents. Ensures fulfillment of all study related regulatory requirements. Assists with IND applications and reporting to federal agencies. Additional Position Specific Responsibilities: 3-5 years of experience coordinating and/or managing related research projects required. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).Demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks and meet deadlines; excellent time management skills. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and organization skills, outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree. However, a Master¿s degree in a relevant field with prior supervisory experience is preferred. Experience working in an Academic Medical Center with critical care clinical research projects, as well as National Institute of Health (NIH) grant submissions and NIH or other federally funded studies (e.g. Department of Defense) and IND applications are also preferred. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will preferably have experience of managing multicenter studies and interventional studies with randomization procedures. As the research studies involve recruitment of patients who may be undergoing emergency care (such as cardiac arrest) at times, the ability to work in a medical emergency and flexibility with time are preferred. Candidates with a track record demonstrated ability to write and edit a variety of research related documents, such as case report forms, consent forms, study protocols, standard operating procedures, research abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and comprehensive narrative and budgetary justifications will also be preferred.
