Description: Position Description: We are seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our construction operations team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment used in construction projects, including dozers, excavators, backhoes, telehandlers, and other diesel-powered and hydraulic machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and a solid understanding of industry safety standards. Duties/ Responsibilities: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriages, braking systems, and electrical components. Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on heavy equipment to reduce downtime. Use specialized tools, equipment, and computerized diagnostic software to service machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used. Coordinate with fleet manager, supervisors and operators regarding equipment performance issues. Operate heavy equipment to test repairs and ensure proper functionality. Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards. Be available for occasional after-hours emergency repairs and weekend callouts as needed to support operations. Requirements: Qualifications: Experience working on brands such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, or similar. Welding and fabrication experience a plus.
