Position Overview We are seeking a Designer for our GBP Division. This position will report to the Design Manager. Responsibilities Determines size, material, and palletization options using TOPS or CAPE software. Creates designs, concepts, and prototype sample layouts to meet customer requests/requirements using Artios CAD. Cuts prototype samples using a Kongsberg cutting table. Maintain daily communication as required with Account Managers and/or Customer Service Representatives on design requests and/or other design projects. The Packaging Designer is responsible for developing innovative packaging solutions. They have expertise and an understanding of the principles of creating durable packaging or displays that are not only visually appealing but also practical, durable, and cost-effective. Our in-house Packaging Designers will develop the packaging design with our CAD software, choosing the appropriate flute while considering manufacturing processes. A mock-up of the packaging is created to test its functionality and fit of the packaging. Once the structural packaging design specifications are set, the Packaging Designers will work closely with Graphic Designers to combine the graphics with functionality to ensure the final packaging is visually pleasing and structurally sound. Overview: Meritor's TransPower location in Escondido, CA is seeking a Chief Engineer to join their team. The successful applicant will work in the Vehicle Engineering area. The primary responsibility is to lead a team of 10-30 supervisors/managers, engineers and designers to design, develop, test, applicate and production release of electric powertrain, accessory and battery systems.
