Job Description Title: CNC Machine Maintenance Technician - Mini Shift Pioneer the next generation of innovation. Creation, adjustment and tracking of controlled documents for data collection / verification Monitor, troubleshoot and repair of lifting device, KVT guns, leak test units and fixtures and all supporting equipment (including Tooling and CMM). Work with vendors when in-house repairs cannot be performed. Planning and coordination of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance activities including ordering of spare parts, organization, and initiation of necessary parts shipment. Support the installation of the plant's machining equipment. Design, modification and fabrication of needed components when necessary, using manual machining equipment. Modification and repair of production parts, using manual machining equipment. Responsible Person for Process Water in Machining. Inform management of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved. Work towards all aspects of Continuous Improvements of the Machining Department. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Perform special projects as required and maintain on the job flexibility by providing support in Machining and in other production related areas. Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Basic Requirements: Associates degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and 5 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment; or completion of apprenticeship or training program and 7 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment. This position is scheduled for the Mini-Shift which starts at 5:45 AM and ends at 6:15 PM, Friday morning through Sunday afternoon. A shift premium will be added to the hourly rate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guest Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate concerns Work together with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results Qualifications Qualifications: Positive attitude and a desire to serve guest Diesel Technician experience required 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic ASE Master certified required Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles Meet or exceed hourly goals Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes Professional appearance and strong communication A desire for long-term career development Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools Walk/stand for the majority of their workday Drive manual transmissions vehicles Efficiently navigate a computer Additional Information Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first.
