Banner University Medical Center Phoenix invites applications for faculty for the Division of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is an opportunity for an outstanding academic clinician who would be interested in building distinctive clinical programs within the Division and contributing to the academic mission of the Department. The Division of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery is experiencing a period of clinical and academic growth under the leadership of Dr. Olivia Cardenas-Trowers, a recognized leader in gynecologic surgery and translational research. The Division is seeking an excellent board-certified/board-eligible fellowship-trained (2 years for Urology and 3 years for Gynecology) Urogynecologist and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgeon to join our academic practice. Under the leadership of Dr. Rosanne Kho, the Department currently hosts 36 residents, 3 Maternal Fetal Medicine fellows, 2 Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery fellows , and 1 Addiction Medicine fellow. Faculty provide clinical services and mentor trainees at the Banner- University Medical Center (Phoenix), Scottsdale, Arcadia Clinic , and other Banner facilities. There is an opportunity to hire (2) Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgeons (1 Urologist and 1 Gynecologist) for a total of 3 in the Division with existing clinical support. Due to continued growth, plans are to start a Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery fellowship within the next 2-3 years. Description Summary: The Catheterization Laboratory Technician I supports diagnostic, interventional cardiac catheterization, and EP procedures by preparing the lab, equipment, and supplies. This role involves assisting the medical team during procedures, ensuring accurate patient documentation, and maintaining sterile technique. The technician operates and troubleshoots specialized cath lab equipment, prioritizing patient safety and efficient departmental operations. They also contribute to a collaborative environment by sharing knowledge and adhering to organizational principles and safety standards. Ensures patient position is appropriate and safely secured on procedure table per procedure type. Trains and completes competencies to set up and operate cath lab equipment including, but not limited to: imaging (intravascular ultrasound-IVUS, intracardiac echo-ICE), contrast injector, hemodynamic system, intra-aortic balloon pump, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, left ventricular assist device, etc. Supports and anticipates the needs of the physician and ensures patient safety when scrubbing procedures; moves/pans table appropriately during fluoro and X-Ray acquisition. Adheres to aseptic technique 100% of the time during procedures and stops the line if a break in sterile technique is identified. Adheres to organizational policies and processes related to patient safety, patient privacy, infection control (hand hygiene), and patient communication before, during, and after procedure. Collaborates with others on the team in sharing knowledge; to gain and provide appropriate knowledge as appropriate; to foster teamwork and team cohesion. Supports department and team by engaging in patient transport as appropriate. Obtains and maintains proficiency in access site management. Acts as radiation safety representative for patients and team while X-Ray is used but is not licensed to administer fluoro imaging.
