The driver qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last 3 years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMCSA Clearinghouse review. • Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment and education), the ability to pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation, and potential travel within a near geography for training are required This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Please reach me at Job Description: TECHNICIAN - LEVEL III Duration: Full Time Location: Houston, TX Technicians install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel and natural gas generators and engines ranging from 20 kW up to 3000 kW. The person in this role is responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, diagnosing and providing quality repairs of electrical generator systems and related engine mechanical failures. Manufacturers included Caterpillar, Multiquip, Kohler, Cummins, Generac, Olympian, etc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Perform basic preventive maintenance and assists others in performing intermediate and advanced corrective maintenance tasks 2. Uses basic knowledge of engine / generator mechanical and electrical operation to perform tasks or assist others 3. Replaces batteries, belts and hoses; changes and/or tops off oil and filters 4. Properly and completely fills out all service reports, PM checklists and timecards within department guidelines; Ensures they are legible and accurate with sufficient detail for service accounting needs 5. Works on a flexible work schedule 24x7x365 and responds to emergency calls as needed 6.
