Description: Energy Panel Structures, Inc. The Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for moving freight to and from EPS's facility to designated locations for safe and timely delivery. CDL Delivery Driver Responsibilities: Inspect and monitor truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after each trip and record on ELD. Inspect freight to verify that it is loaded correctly and is safely secured onto or in a trailer. Review shipping documents to determine the nature of the load and verify for accuracy. Install and remove tire chains as dictated by weather conditions. Transport and deliver building materials and components to applicable locations by: applying knowledge of commercial driving and transport regulations, maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic and inclement weather, going forward and backing up long distances, maneuvering around tight corners and in and around tight or narrow areas. Must acquire knowledge of and adhere to EPS's DOT Driver Safety Policy. Must comply with all local, state and federal regulations for the safe operation of a Commercial Motor Vehicle. Promptly report highway safety hazards noted in route. Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions or any irregularities relating to pickup or delivery. Promptly report all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment as soon as safely possible.
