Location: Amarillo, TX or Oak Ridge, TN Job Title: DevSecOps System Developer Career Level From: Associate Career Level To: Senior Specialist Organization: IT Operations () Job Specialty: System Development What You'll Do The DevOps System Development position supports the development and implementation of DevSecOps cyber secured automated software development build pipelines, processes and infrastructure. The position also supports the design, development, and modification of enterprise-wide application systems using languages and platforms including .NET, C#, Java, JSP, SAP/ABAP, JavaScript, HTML 5, XML, and XSLT. The DevSecOps infrastructure is built around Azure DevOps, which is integrated with other tools such as Sonatype Nexus, Burp Suite, and Micro Focus Fortify. The position may provide database and other architecture and systems engineering support. The position may have customer interfacing responsibility. Duties include working closely with project stakeholders to ensure ongoing DevSecOps processes are streamlined and that the software development lifecycle is optimally supported with appropriate tools. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring implementations adhere to DevSecOps principles and company policies. The position requires support for the software quality assurance and software engineering lifecycle including conceptual design, requirements definition, functional and computer system design, systems development and programming, implementation, testing, installation, configuration management, and continuous monitoring appropriate for enterprise-level application software systems. Core Responsibilities include: Work closely with application developers, cyber security, and project management to ensure optimal DevSecOps environment and processes Work closely with functional and business team members, project management, enterprise architects, system engineers, and application developers to design and develop enterprise applications based on approved architecture and business requirements Demonstrate innovation when designing applications and solving complex IT problems Ensure solutions are well-engineered, operable, and maintainable while also ensuring adherence to defined project management policies, change management guidelines, and quality assurance processes Work with IT project management to deliver solutions on schedule and within budget One position will be located at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. Eight or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting. Preferred Job Requirements Experience in a DevSecOps environment using Azure DevOps (preferred) or similar environment such as AWS CodePipeline, GitLab, or Jenkins, and managing build pipelines, deployments, and artifacts Experience developing build pipelines for various technology stacks including .Net, Java, and Node.js Experience incorporating Micro Focus Fortify and Burp Suite scanning within a DevSecOps pipeline Experience in Powershell scripting and programming languages and frameworks such as .NET, C#, Java, JSP, JavaScript, SAP/ABAP, HTML 5, XML, and XSLT Relational database management systems, preferably with experience in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Database-level programming using stored procedures, functions and triggers Web server technologies such as Microsoft IIS, NetWeaver, WebLogic, and Apache Tomcat Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Eclipse, including the use of Git version control Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment Experience with ITIL processes and agile development practices is preferred Strong analytical and problem solving skills Notes The minimum education and experience for the lowest career level in the job posting range are listed under Minimum Job Requirements.
