This position supports HR functions at the plant level, with a strong focus on employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and benefits administration. Responsibilities: Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation processes for hourly employees. Administer employee data changes including transfers, leaves of absence, and job status changes in HRIS and timekeeping systems. Maintain confidential employee records including personnel, medical, and workers' compensation files. Manage internal job bidding processes, shift preference postings, and schedule adjustments. Provide assistance and documentation for employment and wage verifications. Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, delivering accurate, timely communication throughout the plant. Support the administration of employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Answer calls and inquiries directed to the HR department and route accordingly. Collaborate with managers on HR policy implementation, compliance, and workplace training. Take on additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law. Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our manufacturing client in the North Muskegon, MI area is seeking a sharp mechanically inclined Manufacturing Engineer with CNC machining experience to join a growing team for direct hire. This position will involve: Monitor OEE, production cost per part, scrap, and perform process development to assure product quality, timely deliveries, continuing cost-effectiveness, and profitability. Develop and execute new manufacturing plans and methods, process, production equipment, PM and tool engineering, and maintenance techniques to maximize productivity, lower costs, and provide high quality. Determine capital equipment needs, recommend the purchase of proper equipment, and supervise installation and debugging of equipment to ensure on-time delivery of cost-effective equipment meeting specification and capability requirements. Evaluate new product designs, working closely with Product Engineering to ensure optimum manufacturing capabilities utilizing Continuous Improvement and manufacturability designs. Validate production processes using statistical methods to provide world-class manufacturing capabilities and maximum effectiveness of equipment and processes. Prepare and present project reports, test reports, status and monthly activity reports, and manufacturing studies to keep the supervisor fully aware of activities and progress.
