Engineering Answers is who we are - and what we do. Description We are seeking a Full-Time Environmental Scientist I in our Omaha office. Our environmental team focuses on environmental services which includes Phase I ESAs, Wetland Services, Erosion & Sediment Control, Industrial Stormwater Permitting, and Post Construction Stormwater Management. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. This individual will have a high level of detail and a desire to be in the field. Additionally, this candidate will: Conduct inspections of erosion and sediment control best management practices (BMP's) on various types of construction projects in a timely and efficient manner. Make repair recommendations for BMP's as required and arrange for the maintenance and/or construction of BMP's with various contractors. Submit erosion control reports and updating erosion control plans and reports on all activities on the site Work with contractors of various trades to ensure compliance with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Performs Post-Construction Storm Water annual inspections Required Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent Demonstrated Experience in Microsoft Office required, with an emphasis in Excel & Word Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to effectively work independently or with a team Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Proficient math skills and ability to read various construction plans and documents Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record & reliable vehicle Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Construction, Geology, Engineering, Natural Resources, Biology or related Demonstrated experience in the Environmental, Construction or related industry Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D E&A is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Civil Engineering Assistant Project Manager (Omaha, NE) E & A Consulting Group, Inc. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, public officials, and clients. This individual will have a proven track record of civil engineering expertise for projects. Additionally, this candidate will: Lead a civil engineering design team with a focus on both residential and commercial land development projects Oversee the production of design plans and specifications for grading, erosion control, stormwater management, sanitary sewers, water mains and private roadways Review civil engineering design calculations, drainage reports and cost estimates Manage team, including team assignments, mentoring and quality control Develop relationships with existing developers, local public agencies and be a contributor in the creation of proposals Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Registered Professional Civil Engineer License Ten years of progressively responsible engineering experience Team management experience, to include leading, mentoring and coaching Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Experience with general civil design of grading, storm, paving and utilities, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling and presentation of results Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Fifteen years of progressively responsible engineering experience Demonstrated project management experience Registered Professional Civil Engineer License in the State of Nebraska Knowledge of the Omaha Regional Design Manual and PERMIX Demonstrated knowledge of Sanitary and Improvement District (S&ID) financing mechanism, Public Improvement Plan layouts, design, processes and procedures, and subdivision developments and site planning Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or project management software E&A is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
