Job Summary We are looking for an Electrician to join our Maintenance team! This position will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and controls in a chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment. Essential Functions • Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical plant equipment. • Work on electrical switchgear, transformers, controls, power supplies, drives, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and related equipment. • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in production lines, pumps, compressors, and process equipment, minimizing downtime. Communicate concerns to supervisors and maintenance team members. • Complete required maintenance records and documentation. • Operate shop equipment and forklift equipment as needed for the job. • Participate in and promote plant safety programs, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and hazard communication. Experience Guidelines • Experience with industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance. • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and process diagrams. • Basic math skills and the ability to complete work records accurately. • Ability to work safely around moving equipment, chemicals, noise, and other plant conditions. Education • High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree in electrical technology or related field preferred • Journeyman Electrician or Ohio Electrician License required Work Schedule Typically, 40 hours/week, with possible overtime during maintenance windows, process startups, on call for emergencies (may include night, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on plant operations) Physical Requirements This role requires standing, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and using hands throughout the workday. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with assistance as needed. Safety Requirements Required personal protective equipment may include a hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, company-provided clothing, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and other PPE based on the task. Some tasks may require respirator fit testing and additional chemical protective equipment.
