We are looking for an experienced Technical Engineering Manager/Technical Program Manager to manage 2 Big Data engineering squads for a growing client in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be a key leader overseeing day to day engineering for these teams, interact with product management and key stakeholders in a fast paced, cutting edge environment. Responsibilities: Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Act as a single point of contact for 2 scrum teams of 6-7 big data engineers (onsite and offshore) building a Big Data analytics platform, collaborate with offshore management and client technical leadership, as well as serve as the technical engineering voice for these teams. Manage project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Ensure resource availability and allocation Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques Report and escalate to management as needed Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders Perform risk management Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Requirements: Strong educational background preferably in the fields of computer science, engineering or mathematics Solid technical background, experience in Big Data Engineering Proven experience as technical lead/manager with general experience managing resources, projects and/or programs Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid organizational skills including high attention to detail and multi-tasking skills Would be a plus: Azure Cloud Platform experience Experience with Python, Spark, Talend and Airflow What we offer: Opportunity to work on bleeding-edge projects Work with a highly motivated and dedicated team Competitive salary Flexible schedule Benefits package - medical insurance, sports Corporate social events Professional development opportunities NB: Placement and Staffing Agencies need not apply. We work primarily with big enterprise companies, helping them to replatform their client-facing web applications to the modern technological stack, or build web applications for internal use.
