Job Description: The Associate Executive Director of the Capital North Regional Adult Education Network (RAEN) is a full-time, 12-month, grant-funded, unrepresented position responsible for supporting the Executive Director in leading and administering a comprehensive staff development network for adult education professionals. Job Description: Under the general direction of Vice President for Strategic Initiatives & Planning, the Director of EOP administers the Educational Opportunity Program. Responsibilities include the supervision of staff, provision of referral and assistance services, coordination of student development and academic support services and compliance with all reporting and procedures. In addition, the Director will be responsible for developing and implementing assessment activities and student recruitment, enrollment, and retention initiatives to ensure operational efficiencies through a coordinated, collaborative and integrated approach. The position involves a 12-month appointment. Supervisory Responsibility The incumbent does have supervisory responsibility. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide leadership in the planning, development, and administration of the Educational Opportunity Program including staff supervision. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Connect students with instructional support services, academic coaching, and other services to support student persistence and retention. Develop and implement an annual assessment plan to support data driven decision making for all areas of EOP programming. Review prospective EOP students' applications and documentation for EOP admission including coordination of efforts with other campus offices. Initiate and implement enrichment activities for EOP students. Develop and maintain contact with community agencies and transfer institutions to support student success and degree completion. Prepare reports and maintain office records as required by the College and the SUNY Office of Special Programs in a timely and professional manner, including budget management and control. Facilitate EOP student advisement, registration, and enrollment including ongoing reporting on the status of EOP students (e.g., academic standing, enrollment). Plan, coordinate and implement year-round programming for EOP students to include the development and implementation of various recruitment activities, orientation sessions, summer programming, and retention initiatives. Develop, staff, and recruit for the EOP summer program to support student success, academic preparation, engagement with the college, and familiarity with the campus and available services and supports. Manage and utilize current best practices to identify and lead ongoing strategic and operational improvements to the EOP program. Serve on various standing and ad-hoc committees related to student success initiatives. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives & Planning. Requirements: Education & Experience Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree required At least two years of prior experience working in a post-secondary setting. Preferred Requirements Master's Degree Experience in an educational environment working with special populations and/or with economically or educationally disadvantaged students. Experience working in a community college setting.
