Job Description: The Critical Care Manager is responsible for assisting the Director with oversight of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) department to ensure the highest quality care and patient outcomes. Assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the departments and staffing to assure quality services on a 24/7 basis. Responsible for meeting the Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance standards while complying with corporate policy and procedures. Responsible for managing the supplies and equipment inventory, responsible for promoting teamwork with physicians, and the healthcare teams, and for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, assisting with volume growth and in the overall day-to-day operations of the cardiovascular laboratory which include: Performance management, policies and procedure, productivity, supplement staffing, staff competency, physician relations, strategic planning, patient safety, business development, budget, resource management, program development and specific projects for adult care patient population. Ongoing evaluation of existing and emerging technology that leads to improved patient care outcomes. Possesses the ability to act decisively and demonstrates advanced clinical competence.
