Contractor shall serve as the part time Medical Director for a period of one year (with the option for four (4) one (1) year options) for an average of 15 to 20 hours per week or between 780 and 1040 annual hoursDuties and responsibilities of the contract include but not limited to the following:Assist with the development of the policies and procedures.Review complex cases and policy issues with staff members and the Executive Advisory Committee, as appropriate.Promote the program in collaboration with the Manager.Engaging in wellness education and outreachPartnering with health care organizations, universities, trade associations, and other stakeholder groups to promote professional awareness and wellnessProviding guidance to employers, colleagues, and family members on initiating conversations with licensees about substance abuseServe as an expert medical witness and administrative proceedings.Chair and serve on the Clinical Advisory Committee as required.Work closely with the program manager to advise and make recommendations on actions regarding program contracts.Consult with and advise on best practices for evaluating toxicology of individuals who are monitored,Review and recommend evaluation/assessment criteria for those who are entering into a Program contract,Review medications of participants and recommend appropriate management of health concerns during the Program contract.
