Job Title: Senior Transactional Real Estate Attorney Location: NYC, NY (Zip code-10017) Employment Type: Direct Hire Salary - $270,000 - $300,000USD/Annum The firm is seeking a senior-level transactional real estate attorney with 10+ years of experience in distressed debt and workouts. This role is ideal for a strategic, business-minded professional who can independently advise clients across a wide range of complex real estate matters, including workouts, debt restructurings, and discounted payoff (DPO) negotiations. Responsibilities Advise clients on workouts, restructurings, and DPOs involving: Banks CMBS lenders and servicers Non-bank lenders Mezzanine loan providers Handle complex debt and mezzanine foreclosures (experience preferred) Draft and negotiate a variety of real estate and finance documents Provide strategic counsel on distressed real estate and capital structures Independently lead transactions from inception to close Work closely with entrepreneurial clients on high-value matters Must Have J.D. from an accredited law school Active admission to the New York Bar Minimum 10 years of transactional real estate experience Deep expertise in distressed debt, workouts, and debt restructuring Strong drafting, negotiation, and client advisory skills Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment In-depth knowledge of the New York real estate market Preferred Qualifications Experience with mezzanine loan workouts and foreclosures Familiarity with CMBS structures and servicing protocols Track record of managing large or complex real estate transactions Thanks & Regards Paul Joseph ACT Consulting Talent Acquisition Lead Phone: Fax: Visit ACT Consulting at to view our open positions.
