Position Summary Manage the glass art studio facility in support of the undergraduate and graduate glass curriculum, and community outreach programs; design, fabricate, and install equipment, storage, display and renovation projects; provide demonstrations of various glass art making techniques, methods, and practices to students as needed for safety and instructional support; supervise undergraduate student monitors and graduate assistants in the glass program studio; manage graduate assistantship hours and undergraduate blow slots. Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities Manage the glass art studio facility in support of the undergraduate and graduate glass curriculum, and community outreach, including maintenance and repair of specialized equipment and tools; design, fabricate, and install equipment, storage, display and renovation projects; Work with faculty to replace, order, and install equipment; assist faculty with outside contractors when their services are required. Provide technical demonstrations of various glass art making techniques, methods, and practices to students as needed for health and safety, and instructional support; collaborate with university staff to help ensure health and safety compliance of equipment and facilities; stay current with glass studio health and safety standards. Supervise undergraduate student monitors and graduate assistants in glass studio; assist studio faculty during instruction and supervise student open studio periods. Assist in managing the sculpture facility in support of the undergraduate and graduate sculpture and fabrication curriculum, and community outreach, including maintenance and repair of specialized equipment and tools; design, fabricate, and install equipment, storage, display and renovation projects; Work with faculty and other technical staff to replace, order, and install equipment; assist faculty with outside contractors when their services are required. Manage shared physical production classroom schedule. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Experience of technical support, including of techniques and equipment used in hot, kiln-formed and cold glass required, and in sculpture desirable. Understanding and experience in health and safety in glass and sculpture desirable. Other related professional training and experience, such working in a higher education studio arts environment, very desirable. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or Master's degree in Fine Arts preferred. The following experience is required: 2 years of technical experience in glass studio The following experience is preferred: 2 years of technical experience in sculpture studio Salary Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Position Summary The Sr. Grants Administrator (SGA) provides assistance to faculty and staff with pre-award proposal and budget development while providing financial and regulatory guidance throughout the submission process. It is the SGA's responsibility to assist in safeguarding the institution and its researchers from legal and financial liabilities due to noncompliance. In addition, the position will handle post-award matters including initial administration of subcontracts/agreements, revised project budgeting, and no-cost extension requests. Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities Advises and assists faculty and staff in the development of proposals for external funding, ensuring compliance with agency and institutional policies and federal regulations. Under strict time constraints and in coordination with prevailing federal policy, manages the internal campus review and approval process for all external grant activities. Assists faculty and administrators with pre-award issues such as cost-share, compensation/time allocation, and indirect costs (F&A) concerns ensuring adherence to relevant agency and institutional policies. Responsible for some post award tasks, including assisting with the preparation of subcontracts using template-based materials, internship agreements, modifications to ensure appropriateness and consistency with University policies, and generating awards in FMS. Retrieves and disseminates information relating to funding opportunities. Other duties as assigned, including educating faculty & staff about individual agency terms and conditions and assisting in the preparation of progress reports and certain requests to agencies. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree is required, but no particular field of study is required. Degree must be conferred at the time of application. The following experience is required: 1-2 years experience with grant proposals and budget development with various funding agencies. 1-2 years project management and/or budgeting experience. 1 year supervisory experience.
