Job Description Mercyhealth System in Lake Geneva, WI is currently seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our excellent team of collaborating physicians throughout Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin! Mercyhealth System is a multi-state, integrated health system comprising of 7 hospitals, including a state-of-the-art ACS designated Level I Adult Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. With more than 800 employed physicians and 200 advanced practice providers, we service over 100 outpatient clinics and other service sites that provide care to residents in more than 55 communities throughout Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. We provide over 125 specialty and sub-specialty services, including adult critical care, neonatal intensive care, neurosurgery, heart and vascular care together with WATCHMAN and TAVR, cancer institute, plastic and reconstructive surgery, robotic surgery, orthopedic surgery, and much more! Opportunity: Serve as core faculty to teach and mentor residents for a 6 resident program Educate and prepare the future generation of physicians for practice. We are committed to creating a role that aligns with your strengths and interests. Precepting Residents: teaching and guiding residents both in the clinic and hospital (50% of time). Clinical Practice: Provide clinical care in our residency clinic (30% of time). Administrative & Curriculum Development: Dedicated time to program administration and curriculum development (20% of time). Engage in full-spectrum inpatient, outpatient, procedural care, nursing home and womens health Well established medical student education opportunities This is a unique opportunity to build and shape a community-based residency program while maintaining an active clinical practice caring for patients Play acritical role in developing the next generation of family medicine physicians while directly impacting the health of the local community Lead the development and growth of the residency program, including program structure, curriculum design and faculty engagement Recruit, mentor and evaluate residents EPIC EMR Vast multi-specialty referral sources 501c3 non-for-profit What makes our program unique: Well established unopposed community based program with over 30 years of accreditation 40% graduate retention Robust community involvement Qualifications: A passion to teach residents and medical students in didactic/clinic setting.
