Field Service Technician Location: Essex Junction, VT Pay Range: $70,000-$90,000 + OT, based on experience Build a Career with Linde Linde is looking for a Field Service Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of nitrogen-producing plants at customer sites. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working independently, and supporting customers in a technical field environment. What We Offer Linde offers competitive pay + overtime and a strong benefits package, including: Health, dental, disability, and life insurance Paid holidays and vacation 401(k) matching Pension benefits Employee discount program Educational and professional development opportunities Career growth with a global industry leader What You'll Do As a Field Service Technician, you will: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot nitrogen-producing plants at customer sites Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on compressors, gas analyzers, control systems, and related equipment Diagnose field issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision Communicate clearly with customers and provide technical support as needed Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards Coordinate contractors, resources, audits, and site-related administrative tasks Plan and prioritize work to keep plant operations running smoothly What We're Looking For Qualified candidates will ideally have: High school diploma or equivalent Associate degree in a technical field preferred 2-5 years of operations, maintenance, field service, process control, or related industrial experience Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience Experience with compressors, instrumentation, control systems, or industrial equipment Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures Ability to read or understand process control schematics Basic computer skills, including Microsoft applications Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Military engineering or technical experience is a plus. Physical & Schedule Requirements This role may require: Lifting up to 50 pounds Climbing, working at heights, and entering confined spaces Driving a service truck Working in a mix of field, plant, office, and customer-site environments Flexibility for extended hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in coverage when needed Why Join Linde?
