Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a POTENTIAL opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Position Details: - Monday Friday, (Currently M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm) - On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries - Inpatient settings - On Call Hours = Nights, Weekends, and Holidays Key Responsibilities: - Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans. - 6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day totaling 6 to 6.5 - Direct Patient Care: estimated 90% - Scope of Care Physicians shall be responsible for: Inpatient Care: All psychiatrists will be required to work in collaboration with Mental Health staff who are part-time or full time salaried by the VA for inpatient care duties - Operating and collaborating physicians patients - Seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service - Ward Patients - Admitting and Diagnosis of patients - Developing Treatment Plans - Managing, including the performance of timely treatment - Discharge/Transfer all needed medical record documentation Qualifications: - Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist: Active certification or eligibility required. - Valid medical license in any U.S. state. - Current and unrestricted DEA license. - BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
