The Company's proprietary technology platform, Mutation-Allostery-Pharmacology, or MAP, platform, is designed to allow Black Diamond to analyze population-level genetic sequencing data to identify oncogenic mutations that promote cancer across tumor types, group these mutations into families and develop a single small molecule therapy in a tumor-agnostic manner that targets a specific family of mutations The Accounts Payable Specialist role is a hands-on position supporting all aspects of our accounts payable process, including ensuring our suppliers are paid accurately and timely and that our financial records are complete and accurate. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-based, collaborative environment and is excited about the opportunity to grow and develop as part of a high-performing finance team. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities : Process supplier invoices, including accurate GL account coding, within our AP subledger and ERP (Coupa and NetSuite) Verify invoices are accurate and supported by underlying documentation (2-way match for services, 3-way match for goods) Establish effective relationships with suppliers through communications on missing invoices, credits/rebills, incorrect invoices etc. Prepare electronic, check and wire payment runs Prepare supplier credit applications, tax-exempt certificates, and other applicable documentation Manage AP email account by saving supplier invoices and researching/responding to supplier inquiries Support month end financial close process by ensuring timely entry of invoices and follow up with invoice owners so that approvals and procurement holds are resolved prior to deadlines Assist the quarterly and year-end audit process, including providing materials to support audit requests Maintain accurate W9 vendor information and assist in preparing annual 1099 filing process Follow AP policies and procedures; identify opportunities to drive increased process efficiencies Review employee expense reports to confirm compliance with company policy Provide procurement support by verifying spend commitments are documented on a purchase order and support internal stakeholders by communicating potential PO issues Special projects and other tasks as assigned Qualifications 3+ years of accounts payable experience required Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Biotech / pharma experience preferred Proficient with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience working with an ERP system, Coupa and NetSuite preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Dependable, flexible and consistently reliable team player Work Environment : This job operates in a professional office environment with travel activities of approximately 20-30% of the time. The scope includes but is not limited to; Service Desk and Desk Side operations, Network, Telephony, Identity Management, Work Stations, IT Security, SSO, MDM, etc. Incumbent will provide consultative support for a wide variety of projects with an IT component, including proprietary database(s) and analytics. Manage relationship with key vendors and overall budget responsibility for IT Shared Service portfolio. Responsibilities Lead the IT Shared Services and Infrastructure strategy, planning and operations. Develop and maintain a technology roadmap focused on improving and adding new services to enhance business and operational productivity. Clearly communicate business value, project statistics and issues to business sponsors. Ensure alignment of the service delivery strategy with the business strategy Be the primary Vendor Relationship Manager for key IT service providers, ensuring Service Levels are met. Work with business partners and vendors to establish a process for continuous improvement in service delivery, cost efficiency, contractual compliance. Ensure customer satisfaction by leading the collaborative development of service level agreements, delivery in line with the SLA's through ongoing monitoring. Review business practices on a regular basis assessing fit with current and potential IT Service providers, analyze business requirements by partnering with stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services. Function as a Subject Matter Expert on IT Infrastructure Services and Technology on a wide variety of projects, issues and strategies. Provide hands on support for employees on a wide variety of day to day needs Make recommendations for maturing and improving the IT Infrastructure and Shared Services portfolio. Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes. Maintain and create supporting documentation as needed. Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software, maintaining GxP compliance where appropriate. Qualifications Client-focused individual with experience building up an IT Share Service function in a small fast-paced growing business environment. A collaborative management style and a strong customer service orientation. Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices Excellent working knowledge in Vendor Management of IT Shared Services for the following areas: systems administration, service desk operations, network services, data storage systems, M365, etc. Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience 3 - 6+ years of experience working in IT operations with demonstrated experience leading a hands on IT function in a small but, rapidly growing company Work Environment : This job operates in a professional office and lab environment. The Company has an exciting opportunity to join a small but highly experienced legal team, with great opportunities for growth and learning. This position will report to the Vice President - Legal & Intellectual Property and requires a high degree of flexibility, judgment, organizational and technical skills. It is an ideal position for an attorney who has mastered the preparation and negotiation of R&D related agreements and enjoys that work but also wants to gain further experience in other areas such as IP, more complex collaboration and license agreements and corporate legal work. Responsibilities Preparation and negotiation of contracts, including but not limited to: CRO master service agreements, clinical trial agreements (US and ROW), development and manufacturing agreements, sponsored research agreements, consulting agreements, confidential disclosure agreements, and material transfer agreements, and license and collaboration agreements, independently, as well as in coordination with the VP - Legal & IP and external counsel (depending on the complexity of the agreement) Lead the implementation and training for a new contracts management system to be rolled out in 2020. Assist with business development, IP and public company work and other legal tasks, as needed Liaise with the finance department on financial matters as they pertain to contracts and statements of work Monitor and advise department managers of contractual rights and obligations as they pertain to their specific agreements Analyze contracts to ensure compliance to company policy and regulations Advising internal clients on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, risk allocation and other legal matters in a pragmatic way that results in actionable business advice Advising, mentoring and overseeing contract specialists, and over time, junior attorneys, in the preparation, negotiation and execution of high-volume contracts and other documents Leading initiatives to improve contract processes, including by reducing cycle times and increasing efficiency Overseeing the development of template agreements, fallback provisions and negotiation guidelines Educating internal clients regarding contract policies and processes Representing the legal department and/or contracts function on cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with other members of the legal department on internal initiatives Qualifications JD from accredited law school and license to practice in at least one US jurisdiction 7 + years' professional experience, with at least 3-5 years' experience in contracts negotiation and administration in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry required Strong work ethic and team player Ability to independently manage workload in a fast-paced environment Ability to provide practical, timely, and risk-appropriate legal counsel to a wide variety of internal clients on legal and regulatory matters and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization High degree of professionalism in a client-service-focused setting Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization, including senior management Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
