The Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) seeks an invasive (non-interventional) cardiologist to join our growing team of four FACC cardiologists in Anchorage, Alaska. As a Level II Trauma Center, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the entire state. With over 30 specialties, we provide a full complement of acute medical and primary care services. Our unique patient population, breathtaking geography and cohesive team make this a one-of-a-kind practice opportunity! In this role you will provide outpatient management and inpatient consults with exposure to advanced disease and challenging pathologies, including advanced valvular disease. A robust Hospitalist team allows for a predominately consultative inpatient practice. Complementing the practice, physicians provide telemedicine consults using our world renowned AFHCAN () and manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout the state. Contracted interventional cardiologists perform stenting procedures in our state-of-the-art Cath Lab. Work Schedule : Monday through Friday; four 10-hour shifts/week; on call 1:5 weeks; no evenings or weekends except when serving on call. Qualifications : Completion of an ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology; BE/BC in Cardiology; willing to travel throughout the state 2-3 days at a time; collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills; culturally sensitive with a desire to serve an underserved patient population.
